[ im feelin this: arm ache ]
[soundtrack to life :Colin Meloy live from his show in VA ]

ok, so recently I have fallen in love with Colin Meloy, who's metrosexual look is ever so appealing, along with that awkward quality his voice has. Sing to me, dear, sweet Colin. Anyways after some simple research, pretty much by accident, I was privy to some info about the decemberists. Their previous name was Tarkio, why, I dunno, ask me why the shins were called Flake Music? Cactus patch is now the signed band Army of Me. Anyways back to Colin, I was listening to some of this Tarkio and well it's pretty boring, its what the decemberists are like without an acordion, violin and giant whale made out of poster board and crayons. It actually sounded pretty country, not much unlike the music I have been steezing lately, ie, Sufjan Stevens and Jenny Lewis and the Brokeback soundtrack. At this concert that I am currently listening to he opened up with a Tarkio song and went right into some Decemberists stuff, "We Both go down" and more. I am intrigued to see what he will play next. I was informed by BrooklynVegan that at the show that was in Nyc, at Town Hall, which was like 38 dollars before service charge, Sufjan, and others possibly Bowie were present chillin to the sweet noise that comes out of Colin Meloy. Well doesn't that just make my little music sensor's tingle!?

In other news, huge party in BK the other weekend, Alyse, Rach, etc, including someone who, due to manegerial issues cannot be mentioned, ahem, were in attendance. Josh and Eric, Kellyn and Becca, Bob, Agent Moo...the list goes on, including some Long island hood rats who I was convinced stole my mouth wash and two avacadoes, but they were later cleared of the charges due to the fact that someone moved those objects for the sake of the party, does no one wanna party with listerine and a fruit/veggie? The party was a huge success and fun was had that whole weekend, which I followed up to with a trip to the upper West side, along Riverside Drive, and then down to Teany only to find that they have since gotten rid of the Tea for Two, which was the ultimate lunch, tea sandwiches, two pots of tea, scones and little petite fours. I guess I will just have to lunch at the creperie around the corner before enjoying a pot of #69, VanillaBerry- Hibiscus, my favourite, not only because of the rose hips and delicious subtle taste, but also the fact that all of the plates and cups at Teany are white, the tea is hot pink, what a great way to feel good about yourself, drinking hot pink!

Well if your girly I guess. I finished all of my knitting projects, except that billy wants a Team Zissou hat which is easily knittable on my knifty-knitter. It will match his Team Z jacket I made him last year for V-day/ B'day. I suppose that's all I have to say for now, keep yourself hip!
